Sedation Dentistry

IMAGINE A RELAXING TRIP TO THE DENTIST

We work hard to help you experience a relaxing, anxiety-free, and comfortable dental visit. Safe and effective, Sedation Dentistry advancements allow us to provide you with a personalized treatment plan that will give you the care you need while ensuring your comfort every
step of the way. Using sedation dentistry, we are able to complete many different procedures, including complex smile makeovers, in just one
office visit.

I.V. SEDATION
About an hour before your dental treatment, you will be given a small pill to help relax you. When you arrive at our practice, our staff will be waiting for you and will escort you to a private treatment room where you'll be treated.

Your doctor will gently place an IV and administer medication to help you into a deeper state of relaxation. Once your treatment is complete, you will wake up feeling refreshed, with little or no memory of the appointment and a beautiful new smile.
**(Please note: due to the sedative nature of the pill, you will need someone to accompany you to your appointment because you will not be able to drive).

ORAL CONSCIOUS SEDATION
Through this type of sedation you will experience very deep relaxation while still being conscious. Your doctor will provide you with an oral medication that is easy to swallow, safe, and low cost. Most adults will receive Halcion (triazolam), though children are usually given a liquid medication like Versed (Medazolan). When the medication takes effect, you will be able to speak and respond to external requests.

NITROUS OXIDE SEDATION
Inhalation sedation uses Nitrous Oxide and Oxygen (laughing gas) to help your body achieve a relaxed state. This is the most popular form of sedation used in dentistry today.
